I will be ordering from you again!

This Trilogy was amazing! My brother and I have tried several different "Escape/Mystery box services" and this is unrivaled in its attention to detail, quality of the puzzles, and especially the amazing contents of the boxes! High quality paper, interesting factual information, EXTREMELY clever and interesting story line. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed these boxes! What I CAN say is that I wish there were more!! We are anxiously awaiting the return of the Famiglia Trilogy. Please, please, PLEASE hurry! And if there is or was any doubt that you need to create more of these amazing mysteries, put them to rest immediately! THANK YOU for a truly magnificent product.
Jenny K.
Our daughter wanted a Game Night for her birthday, so we decided to try Puzzling Pursuits. Rather than competing with one another, we worked together to solve the mystery. A different kind of fun!
Stephanie W.
It has been great for date night! My husband and I love them!!!
Debbi L.
I purchased the Blackbrim, 1876 Trilogy for us to play during the holidays and we are HOOKED! In fact, My sister ordered the other trilogy before have even finished this one. It’s taking a bit to finish Blackbrim because we have to wait to work on it when everyone is together because no one wants to miss out!! The attention to detail and the quality of materials is truly impressive and the puzzles themselves definitely kept us busy and engaged. Thanks for creating such an awesome product. Can’t wait to see what else you come up with!
Jennifer
Wow! Just challenging enough to be incredibly fun and make you feel awesome when you figure it out. Ages 13-42 had a memorable and wonderful time solving Blackbrim. Very much looking forward to the next box.
Lori T.
We worked slowly but had a great time.
Mike M.
Not our normal family game night genre/platform however, we were all throughly engaged in each pursuit for answers.
Natasha
Only received one of the games.
Denise
I gave this order four stars because I ordered three puzzles for a Christmas gift and the manufacturer sent the first puzzle by itself with no notification that the other two were on the way. I sent a message to Andrew the shop owner and he didn’t get it, therefore no response. I contacted Shop and they sent a message about the issue which Andrew received and responded immediately. He quickly contacted me to let me know the other two items were on the way and continued to check with me until I received the other two puzzles. Other than that glitch, the items were as described and Andrew’s customer service was great.
Kara B.
Well, here’s the deal. The games are for New Year’s Eve so they haven’t been opened but, I give 5 starts to my own personal customer service agent, Andrew. His gold standard service cost me some money! I bought game 1 and also the whole Blackbrim trilogy. I can’t wait to crack it open! Happy to share pics later.
Laura J.
Enjoyable…made our minds work!!
A H.
My parents and I have been playing through the Black brim trilogy for a while now. We enjoyed every part of it!
Amy L.
Very hard; if it wasn’t for the hints we would have never made it! Excited for Origins and Ends!!
Yenni A.
Such a great experience! Can’t wait for next month’s game night to play Raeger’s Return!!
Joshua D.
Awesome experience. Some of the clues were very, very vague and difficult to figure out what they were after. That said, solving the puzzles was very satisfying, especially given how wonderful the art and theme is of everything that accompanies them. Will definitely be purchasing the next set.
Steve M.
We haven't got all the way through it yet but we love this series!
Tammy C.
What an amazing experience! We have done a ton of escape games, including in-person, virtual, and "board" games. We love them all, but this one takes the absolute cake. The puzzles are deep, well-designed, and appropriately difficult. My only regret is that it has no replay value. We did purchase the sequel and have since learned that it's a trilogy, so bring it on!
Donna D.
Played with our son loved it
Bruce L.
Did it as a family ... great couple of evenings
Jayde T.
We found getting 'started' a little unclear. Once we got into it though we had a tonne of fun. It took us around 5 hours to complete. Definitely recommend if you love games. Our family always get together during holidays and someone brings a new game to play. We'll d9ne puzzling pursuits!
Katherine B.
The puzzles are HARD so the clues/solutions come in handy. I love the Victorian theme and look. Very fun!
Jonathan W.
Loves these boxes! Right level of difficulty. Hints available as needed. Fun and interesting.
Samuel A.
The game was awesome. A challenging but not impossible puzzle to solve. The storyline was great and all the props were first-rate. Loved it so much that we bought the other two in this series and will be adding other sets down the road,
Michelle T.
We are still completing section two. The puzzling is quite challenging and we just didn't have the time to finish in one sitting. We all love the game and the puzzles. The packaging of the games are very clever and we are enjoying this immensely! Already planning on completing the series.
Michelle T.
Once we caught on to the clues we enjoyed every minute. There was more internet searching than we expected but with a group of 3 we used each others strengths to solve.
Bryan B.
Fantastic game! Loved it.
Even better customer service. Highly recommend puzzlingpursuits
Aimee S.
My mom and I are puzzle heads. This was so much fun! We liked the physical materials very much. It was hard! We're so stubborn we spent 2 days refusing to check answers or get hints. Online searches helped!
Carol P.
Fantastic game! Great story and really well-constructed puzzles that were fun to solve and just challenging enough without being frustrating. Looking forward the the conclusion of the trilogy!
Gerhardt Y.
It is a really fun experience! The puzzle are enjoyable.
Brian
Absolutely loved it. Just the right mix of challenges kept us guessing the whole time.
Barb G.
Engaging, clever, and challenging. I thoroughly enjoyed this as I did Blackbrim, and can't wait to play the series finale! The puzzles are well formulated, the online resources are great (check out the suggested playlists, they set the mood so well). I did some puzzles solo, some with my hubby. It would lend itself well to a game night - like a private escape room.
Amaya W.
We loved this game! I especially enjoyed Part II. It was fun to figure out how all of the games were put together and I feel like I'm getting into a rhythm. Thank you for creating these awesome puzzles and I hope your business is very successful as I really appreciate what you do!!
Robin
Reager's Return was simultaneously easy and difficult. In the first game, Blackbrim, we each solved a puzzle individually. Reager's Return encouraged a team approach, and bouncing ideas off of each other helped get through some tricky spots (so did the extra clues!)
Thanks for putting together great puzzle combinations and an intriguing story line. Looking forward to the final chapter.
Mark G.
We did this as a family. 2 parents and 4 kids from 9th grade down to Kindergarten. Even the kids got into the story and were audibly amazed when discovered some of the twists together. I will be buying part 2 and 3 as well to continue the journey!
The online companion is very helpful and we had to use it many times, but only as a last resort!
Thank you for providing a fun experience!
Annie
Great experience for date night! The puzzles were clever and challenging, but not frustrating. I can’t wait to do another!
Jennifer
We loved how it used both of our skill sets for different puzzles. The use of the time period was awesome, and the aesthetic and quality of materials was great. Not having a time limit was also a plus. Can't wait to play more. Keep up the good work!
Jesse L.
These games are fantastic. Real brain benders that require you to think outside of the box. Create more games like these and please don’t ever make them easy! They are like having an escape room put into a box as a game. A great and fun time. Each part has taken us about 4 hours to play.
Erin T.
This was SO much fun! Our family had an absolute blast playing it for Mother's Day and the hints were a huge help.
Christopher J.
My wife and I had so much fun playing this game! It was just the right amount of challenging. The hints were also a much needed rescue but did not give too much away which was nice. I will be buying the sequel and recommending this to my friends.
Barb
Puzzle-solving, Victorian AND spooky? I had to try it, and this game did not dissapoint. The unfolding clues were clever and challenging, the story was engaging, and playing through was delightful. The quality of the game materials was impressive and added to the experience. A bit like an escape room in my own house. On to the next one!
Jody B.
Nice and hard! Really gets the brain working. Lots of variety in the puzzles. Was missing one piece of inventory but was able to get it online through the app. Great that you can check as you go and get incremental clues. Was given this for my 50th and I did it alone over a few hours. Would definitely recommend.
Sharon E.
I’ve never done anything like this, so I did have to use some of the hints for some of the clues. I really thought I had the hang of it until Part II when I got to the Kitchen. I was completely lost on most of the amounts needed for the recipe! Even knowing the answers made no sense. So, I enjoyed the ones I could figure out, but frustrated with those that were too hard. I did the whole thing by myself, so I would definitely recommend having at least one partner.
Megan J.
Loved it! Was afraid the puzzles would be easy but they were fun and complex. My husband and I did it over the course of 2 date nights and it tok us 3 or 4 hours. Highly recommend
Brittni H.
It was so much fun. We had the whole family involved! We can't wait for the next one.
Allison T.
Some puzzles were really difficult, great to play with a large group of people (4-5), very fun
Laura R.
Love the puzzles! Challenging but doable. we like the variety of puzzle types, some take longer than others, but it is still lots of fun. Our family loved both series! We think you can have another box when Reager escapes!! Hint hint!
Can't wait for more games!
Lauren G.
We didn't realize how long the whole journey would take! We really liked how challenging it was at times and the length of the whole story and how it all connected, Having the multiple parts helped when we couldn't dedicate more time the night we were playing. There were some parts we felt we were experts in and others took a little help, but we really enjoyed the whole series.
Carla M.
My husband and I absolutely LOVED playing this game. The difficulty was challenging enough to make us think and work together, but not too hard where it became frustrating. It helped to have the clues available online to help guide us in the right direction. We had such a great experience that we decided to buy the other two games in the trilogy. We now have a new favorite date night activity called “puzzle night” because of this. Great plot and puzzles!! Hopefully this company produces more. Highly recommend them to anyone!
Kelly H.
We loved it! Very entertaining!
Allene S.
So fun! Some of these puzzles were real head-scratchers, but we managed to make it through without any hints.
To the others who are curious; give it a go! Best of luck, Detectives!
Nick N.
Great fun with the family! Challenging puzzles and 4 hours of entertainment.
Jeremy D.
We had a blast figuring out the puzzles
Diamond W.
Outstanding, all three Blackbrim/Reager games were perfect. My husband and I enjoyed every minute and will absolutely look into more, if not all, of your games!
Melissa G.
While some of the puzzles were extremely challenging I enjoyed figuring them out. It was very fun chasing the villain and trying to solve the cases. The hints were helpful when I got stuck and nudged me in the right direction. I look forward to doing another set of games.
Michael M.
I played this game with my partner and parents and had a great time. It was so much fun for everyone to take their knowledge from personal experiences and unique puzzle solving skills to come together to piece together all the clues. All of the evidence is very well thought out and we cannot wait to continue the trilogy !
James B.
Great game. Hard but clever. Variety of puzzles and clues. I want the next one
Karen
This was a gift from my daughter who knows how I love a good mystery. I had so much fun doing this! I am alone so there was no game night but I had many game mornings with my coffee. Tomorrow ( or today if I cannot bear to wait) I will begin The next story when Reager returns. This was wonderful!!!!
Judith G.
Such an entertaining game. It is a joy to play a game that make you use your mind. Kept the adults thinking and let the grandkids use their imaginations (a couple of time they even came up with the answer when us adult were overthinking). I have purchased all three games in this series and will be looking for my next adventure soon. I recommend it highly.
Christine H.
An excellent experience! Not too hard, not too easy. Virtual guide/hints were spot on for helping without giving it away. Kept me intrigued the whole time. I especially loved the variety of the puzzles! Planning on coming back for more!
Annette S.
We like the second even better than the first and we really enjoyed the first. Keep up the good work.
Elizabeth H.
I bought this for my brother and we really bonded over it, solving mysteries and cracking codes. Loved it!
Jean J.
Some of the puzzles were pretty hard, good thing there were hints!!
Ted C.
Really enjoy the games. Sometimes I feel like we have to rely on the online hints more than I would prefer, but so far in Reager Parts I and II we have not found ourselves completely stuck or feel like any of the puzzles were unfair. Great fun for our family!
Candy Gohn a.
We took this on a family trip to Baja over Christmas, and it was SO much fun. Great story, and a wonderful variation of clues to play to all sorts of strengths. We’re definitely planning on at least one Puzzling Pursuits mystery per vacation from now on.
Jody D.
Nice play time!! Challenging, yet it all made sense once I started figuring it out. Thanks. Haven't started the other two yet.
Lisa P.
Challenging, but not impossible puzzles. Lots of fun when it finally “clicks”
Christina W.
The puzzles were fun, challenging enough to need the extra clues at times, but also achievable with some determination and looking outside the box. Would try another one!
Kelly D.
It was a fun game night. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible to figure out. A bit more of an explanation of how to interact with the website, ie. entering your answer, checking hints, etc. would be nice.
Rhonda S.
We had a group of eight, 6 adults and to preteens. We worked as a group and had a blast! We did use a couple of the extra clues but most of it we were able to figure out on our own. We already have the next two puzzles ready to go and can’t wait to meet again!
Peter F.
This had some really unique and rather challenging puzzles that I greatly enjoyed. I liked how I always knew what to tackle next -- there was plenty of clarity on where to focus my efforts, provided both by the sequential set of envelopes and good telegraphing via the story elements.
Jess
We’ve been huge fans of Puzzling Pursuits from their first puzzle after a friend recommended it to us. Since then, we have played nearly all of their releases and have yet to be disappointed. Origins & Ends was no exception! The cute portfolio/briefcase folders is a neat aesthetic choice. The quality of the puzzles themselves are solvable but tough enough to stump us for a few hours. They’re satisfying without being frustrating. Highly recommend people give this box (and really the whole series) a shot!
Elizabeth M.
These games are so fun!! We used the extra clues, but they're nice hints without giving away the answers. The extra clues still make you feel like you did it by yourself. I hope they make another trilogy soon!!
Levi M.
The second part of the story continues in an awesome way. Again the puzzles were unique and not repeated even from the first part. One of the puzzles confused my wife and I even with the extra clues so that was a bummer. The overall experience was fun and thought provoking. I would highly recommend this story line. I ordered the third part and am looking forward to it getting here.
Suzanne K.
I purchased Blackbrim 1876 for both of my daughters and their significant others for Christmas. They already had a game night and played it. I was told it was challenging, but so much fun that they will be purchasing the rest of the trilogy. Additionally, the customer service this company provides is phenomenal.
Kim o.
We solved this puzzle on a family vacation and it was a lot of fun, challenged us all and entertained us for hours!
Heidi B.
We opened this on Christmas Eve and completed all tasks in about 3 hours. It was fantastic. My 15 year old daughter and her 14 year old friend worked hard on completing the ciphers while the rest of us hunted clues. There were 6 of us playing. We loved it.
John W.
A lot of fun exploring. Thanks for Google, haha. Really enjoyed that we could work on it, then set it aside for a time, and come back to it.
Jane S.
6 of us finally coordinated our schedules and made this happen. It was super fun! Quality challenges and worth every penny.
Kevin B.
This was such a great experience. My wife and I had the best time. We love escape rooms so it was really fun to do this at home. The puzzles were very challenging and allowed us the opportunity to challenge our ability to work together. Great for couples therapy! This kept us mentally active in the evenings an offered a nice substitution for watching TV.
Jason J.
Pretty challenging! Had a great night with the wife and kids!
Evan T.
This was a Christmas gift for Evan. I texted him last night and asked for his review. He played the game with three friends, who all thought it was fun. He said that some of the puzzles were tricky to solve; it was not something that they could sail through. I'm happy that I bought it, seemed like a good gift for my son and I will probably buy him the other games in the series.
Marissa W.
Great game. Lots of fun
Danny T.
I bought the games as a Christmas gift for my wife. We played Blackbrim with our daughter and son in law. It was challenging and fun, we are looking forward to Reager's Return.
Shirley Y.
Part 1 was fun and took a few hours with just me and my boyfriend. Worked on Part 2 another day. It was more challenging but good fun! Very clever puzzles. Definitely interested in finishing out the series with the other two puzzles at some point. We regifted this puzzle to another couple we thought would enjoy.
MAUREEN N.
Commented on the1st one for both… daughters n son in laws loved it.. they said 2nd was challenging… guess they or I will b getting the 3rd
MAUREEN N.
This was a Christmas gift for my daughters and my son in laws… I was told “they love it and it was cool…I bought the 1st n 2nd, they said the 2nd was challenging … I don’t know if they’ll be getting the 3rd or me, for them to finish..
JoAnne S.
It was a fun experience. Some parts were pretty challenging. We appreciated having clues when we were under time restraints. It was a fun experience for 6 college grads.
Kristine R.
Loved the website for clues when we got stuck. Puzzles were challenging.
Maria P.
We had a good time playing as a family but it was more difficult than expected. We had to use a lot of clues! We enjoyed it!!
Steve E.
We did this while we were in Boston visiting one of our children over the holidays. It was entertaining and we all looked forward to doing part 2 of the game. Everyone got up the next day and immediately wanted to complete part 2. It was a great experience and we are looking forward to the next 2 puzzles in this series.
Ileana H.
We played the game with the whole family and a couple of friends. It was a great collaborative effort and we had a lot of fun.
Joanne B.
We had 7 adults ranging in age from 27-67 working together to solve the puzzle on Christmas afternoon. It was a wonderful and fun way to spend the day together.
