Enjoyed the different puzzles! Always challenging, sometimes frustrating, but definitely a lot of FUN!!

These boxes have been my obsession since I discovered them. It breaks my heart that we have played them all now. There is not another company that does these games to the standard that Puzzling Pursuits does! We have tried 5 others now and none of them compare in quality of the puzzles, quality of the materials or quality of the service. And NONE of the others have given us any history lessons or factual information, which we enjoyed so very much. Thank you for the amazing adventure and PLEASE hurry with the next set as well as the Code breaker finale.

We had a girls night party and played this. We are all very smart but couldn’t figure out how to get started with some of the clues as they were a little more complicated than is likely that the average person could figure out. The box said it takes 2-4 but it took us more like 6 hours and we were all tapped after it. It’s definitely on the more challenging end of mystery puzzles I’ve done.
Brian .
These puzzles are excellent. Any of these mystery boxes are an automatic buy for us.
Meri W.
Pretty fun. Some really hard puzzles. We enjoyed The Fifth Column a slight bit more, but were not disappointed.
Jim V.
Great game. Provided a wonderful time together for our family.
Kimberly P.
Have only played part I, but can't wait to delve into part II!
Played with just two players, took about 2 hours. We decided to wait for other family and friends to take on part II over the holiday weekend.
Pretty sure it will be just as exciting and challenging as part I, and we are looking forward to it. Thanks!

REVIEW FOR ALL LA FAMIGLIA GAMES
Fun and atmospheric, with several challenging puzzles from multiple disciplines! Especially enjoyed the coliseum puzzle and having a mystery set in the Jazz Age. We had a small group (4 people) and it took us two sessions of a few hours each!
Garrett D.
Great time! Liked playing after Blackbrim!
Patty
We enjoyed the story and the lack of gruesome violence. The puzzles moved the story along and the clues were helpful in just the right way. We could get just enough to keep moving without it all being shared. It was family-friendly so it worked great for our group (ages 9, 12, 42, 45, and 70). It was intergenerational fun!
Harvey C.
We are a game playing, escape room playing family, and we loved La Familia by Puzzling Pursuits! Part 1 of the Trilogy was very challenging, and we all commented how much fun it was. We will be buying more games and cannot wait until the next family gets together to play Parts 2 and 3.
Mark B.
Fabulous game. Just the right level of difficulty. To keep you interested but not frustrated. Well done game with lots of details.
Mary P.
I took the first chapter to a shut in friend. we worked on it for about 2 or 3 hours, laughing and snaring snacks and a sandwich. Needed hints, and glad they were there! It helped nudge us forward in the story and confirmed when we knew we were on the right path! Taking the second part on my next visit, then on to the rest of the story. It will take us awhile to complete - but I am already itching to purchase and do the other offerings!
Jacki H.
This box felt a lot easier for our group than the Blackbrim boxes so far. Glad we got the whole series!!!! We Can't Wait to Continue the Story! We love the historical references!
Dietra N.
We really enjoyed all six boxes. Overall it was very good. There were a few times that we had to cheat because we would never have gotten there. We are bummed because you don’t offer any more games.
Kristen P.
Couple's Nights Out will never be the same! We worked individually and collectively to solve the puzzle - gasping, laughing, and sometimes silent! We are looking forward to the next adventure!
Andrea E.
We played both parts 1 & 2 with our extended family of 12 over New Years and it was such fun! We could split up different puzzles between folks and then bring the revealed clues together.
Alexa O.
Good fun! Very interesting type of puzzle. Looking forward to doing more!
Sandra C.
There were parts that could have had more instruction.
Johanna M.
We love escape rooms and it’s cool that this provides 3-4 hours of puzzle solving fun. Also love the digital guide and how checking answers and clues don’t risk exposing solutions. Will definitely keep playing other ones in the series!
Mary G.
Really fun, varied puzzle types
Alvaro S.
Challenging yet fun. Two thumbs up once again!
Terri C.
Very fun experience, it was difficult though. Had to look at clues
Stephanie G.
My family likes a good challenge, and this was just the thing to keep us engaged. Don't expect to solve it all on the first night. It took us about 2 1/2 - 4 hours to do part one (we didn't use any clues), and we completed it over two nights. Great to bring on a vacation!
Robert J.
My family and I have enjoyed all 3 of the puzzling pursuit games (La Famiglia, The Takedown, and Blackbrim 1876.
We like that they are more challenging than other company games and it allows for multiple people to work on puzzles individually at the same time.
Scott J.
This was a really great box!! My favorite of your series so far (going to buy the sequel today!)
Taylor C.
Good puzzles and hints when we were stumped.
Misty L.
Was given as a gift to a co-worker. He LOVED it. Plans to buy the sequel as soon as they finish with the second half. Played with another couple and between the 4 of them everyone had a different strength / perspective that they were able to solve the puzzles with minimal clues.....
Matthew T.
Such a great time and challenge. I really hope there are more coming in the future, such a fun experience!! Got my dad hooked on them too. Thanks for the great work and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Lisa M.
I am on part 2. I absolutely love it. Its relaxing, challenging and fun.
Taylor A.
Loved part one! Felt like part two was good, a little bit too easy though compared to part 1
Brandy J.
What.a.GAME. WOW! This was beyond challenging, but so fun to uncover the details as a group. I'll be honest...the more the drinks were flowing, the harder this game became lol!
Not sure we would've made it without the help of the website to be honest. Great intellectually challenging game!
Matt T.
I’m hooked. This is already the third box I’m on and can’t wait for the last one. My wife got me the first for Christmas and am so happy she found this! Big props to the team at Puzzling Pursuits, hope there’s more to come in the future.
Alexandra W.
We definitely had to look up hints for about half of the puzzles. But it was super fun. Not frustrating. Great story and great puzzles.
Josh B.
It was challenging and fun!
Kayla M.
This game was so fun! We learned a lot and had a blast even when we had to use clues! Can't wait to play the next one!
Marc N.
We played this with neighbors on Christmas Eve. A great time had by all
Carol M.
Great fun! Puzzles required a good mix of logic and ingenuity. We shared out the puzzles and then traded according to people’s interests, with a lot of cross collaboration. With a group of young people ages 14-25, we used two clues. So satisfying when we broke the case!
Brad M.
Enteresting story line. A little confusing at times on what the objective was. Used a few clues to help get past the confusion. But great game kept 4 of us entertained and thinking for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. We did part one the first evening and part 2 the next night. Will buy another.
Rebecca
Thank goodness for the hints. Saved us from killing each other in frustration. Not literally, like Vinny, but you know what I mean.
Christine C.
It gave us headaches but it was really cool! Vodka helped. It was like an escape room but better!
Valerie
The baseball cards still don’t make sense. The rest was great.

I learned about Puzzling Pursuits during Puzzletember 2021 and I was so excited to see something like this come from California! I was affected by Hurricane Ida in New Orleans so the puzzles were an incredibly important part of keeping me sane. I ordered this when I got back home and played through Parts 1 and 2 in the same day with my partner. We're both avid Exit game fans and La Famiglia is absolutely worth it. I can't even begin to explain the level of satisfaction we got when we solved each puzzle. Everything fits together in a clever package and finishing this set was worth grabbing a gelato and a strong high-five afterward. It's a good feeling.
What I especially loved was that I never felt really lost. There's an answer checker online so you will always have some way to know if you're on the right track or not, and it's done really well! I was frustrated for some but after sitting with the puzzles for a while, gosh, it feels awesome to get that immediate feedback of whether or not you got a piece of it right.
100% worth it and we've already purchased Blackburn. Looking forward to it!
Bonnie V.
My friend and I did part 1. Checked answers to make sure we were on the right track and hints when needed were helpful. Can't wait to do part 2!
Steve V.
Three of us solved part 1 in about 2 hours, working on components that reflected our strengths, and we brainstormed as needed. I do appreciate the way that clues are made available on-line, in that we didn’t need to worry about too much revelation
Chris W.
We bought this after Blackbrim and really enjoy it. I'm hoping you have more of these coming!
maryann n.
We thought part 1 was good. It was clear as to what needed to be done to crack the clue. We did have difficulty with part 2. We needed more hints with part 2. Not as clear as part 1. We did enjoy it once we got the hints. Example is that it did not indicate we would need something from part 1 to solve a clue in part 2 such as needing the Gazette. But overall we did have fun solving it!
BRIAN H.
Started part one and was instantly stumped! I went over everything slowly and methodically and small clues seemed to come to light. I kept at it, I was on my own, and though it was dificult I progressed slowly, the sequence of clues are excellent, for confirming your findings, and also if you are totally out of ideas. Please try and avoid too many clues, you can find the solutions in the package. Loved it though it took me quite a long time but I was so impressed with myself when I got each solution.
lori l.
This was a solid game. A couple of the puzzles were obscure and you would never get but it was a nice way to have fun on a Sunday afternoon. My hubby and I play these games often.
Elayne A.
This is the second game I have purchased from Puzzling Pursuits. It was very fun to play with my daughter and grandkids. I like that it has something for everyone; whatever your strength is, there is something for you.
It had just the right amount of challenge and has hints available when you need them.
I will buy another Puzzling Pursuit game when one becomes available.
I highly recommend Puzzling Pursuits.

Decided to get this game after reading a few reviews. Loved it! There were a couple of times we had to get clues. The puzzles were challenging yet solvable (after those hints)!
We bought the other game and are about half way through. I highly recommend this for a couple or a group of 4 or so.
James S.
Puzzles were just hard enough to make it fun and challenging.
Nikki T.
I ended up playing through both boxes by myself! These were super fun! I'm so so glad there were hints online, because I got stuck a lot but it's probably because I was alone. I can't wait for more stories to come!
Douglas M.
My wife and I are 77 and love all sorts of puzzle games. We make it a date and try to work on them a couple of hours together every day. We found La Famiglia to be very enjoyable and clever. Not like working in a group of four, it took us maybe 8 hours to complete. We needed a couple of clues but each time we sort of hit our foreheads and said "Yeah, we should have thought of that." Difficult but reasonable and clever. Please bring out more of these games. We've done both of the existing games and are anxious to get more. Well packaged. High quality materials. Very useful and user friendly website.
Thanks for being so creative.
Stephanie Z.
We enjoy these puzzles so much and can't wait for the next mystery. The puzzles are challenging and creative. Once you solve it we feel so excited because we're one step closer to the solution!
Doug K.
There are extremely fun to solve and very cleverly designed. Hard but not too hard. Thank you!
Allison H.
We found La Famiglia to be a great story and a lot of fun. The 'solve' was more climactic than Blackbrim, which was satisfying, but the puzzle about the radio stations was frustrating and still doesn't make sense to our group, even with the extra hints.
Aaron R.
Challenging puzzles! Very fun!
Stephanie R.
This was a really fun box to do. I really enjoyed the two parts and how you still utilized things from the first part when tackling the second part. I also really liked how one piece of evidence was used for multiple puzzles. My favorite puzzle was horse betting one. Overall I felt the puzzles were different and challenging. Each part took me 3-4 hours to finish so I spaced it into two evening game nights. The price is wonderful for that much game time. I already ordered Blackbrim and can’t wait to start on that one!
Jamie F.
I did the game with my 15 year old daughter. We love doing escape room type games at home together. We had a lot of fun with this one. We did need a couple clues here and there but for the most part were able to figure out things on our own. I love the quality of the items and the thoughtfulness that went into the storyline and puzzles. Ready for more!
Julie W.
My family loves these challenges! We like how each part is broken into pieces so we can each work on a part. We like the bite sized clues so we only get a nudge in the right direction. The puzzles are challenging but make for a great family game night activity!
Suzanne P.
We loved how the puzzles were challenging but not impossible. We did have to look at a few hints, though.
Debra M.
It was really fun to do this with my family in another state by facetime. It's really hard right now to not be able to visit, but this was such a fun time working on the puzzle together! Thank you!
Karen B.
My whole family loved it! It was challenging but fun. We ended up ordering the second one after we finished. Can’t wait for more
Stephanie G.
Lots of fun! Engaging activity.
Heidi G.
I really enjoyed La Famiglia. This is my favorite puzzle box I have done to date and I have completed about 15. The solutions are very elegant. Lots of fun!
Tom L.
A group of seven worked on this escape over 2 days. The first part was fun and took a little over an hour but we did use one clue. For the second part, we struggled to get started. Maybe we were tired but we needed more clues to get on track. While part 2 was harder, it was still fun. And the online clues and solutions checker were very helpful.
We recommend this escape game to any one who likes to work on puzzles.
Tyla B.
We had a great time going through La Familia. We couldn’t stop with part 1 , we had to go on and complete part 2 in the same night, This was the perfect game for our small COVID Christmas.
We got stumped a couple of times not knowing what to do to work on the puzzle, and were thankful for the online clues. This was so much f7n that we’ve already ordered the other puzzle.
Sheryl S.
Had a lot of fun
Stephanie R.
Super fun game! Kept everyone engaged and we learned things as we played.
Elizabeth L.
Love these games! I can't wait till they come out with more!
steve a.
We had high expectations having thoroughly enjoyed Blackbrim and we were not disappointed. The puzzles were varied and creative but best of all, challenging. It took some awhile but it was time well spent and we are already looking forward to the next mystery.
Linda A.
of all the Puzzling Pursuit cases I've done so far, this one was my favorite!
Grace W.
La Famiglia had a great plot and fun puzzles. The puzzles were challenging but not frustrating. We finished over two play sessions and now can't wait for the next release!
Roger L.
Super fun! Our family had a blast playing through both parts, and we liked the historical backdrop of the game also. Well done!!
